Fan favourite and former title contender Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone was back in action again this past weekend, against the highly regarded Justin Gaethje. The lightweight contest was over in the first round, with a TKO going in favour of Gaethje, who seems to be improving with each outing. Cerrone says he has no intention of retiring and is already looking forward to his next fight. Gaethje is looking towards a title contest and says he is willing to fight anywhere and anytime.
The co-main event featured a light heavyweight battle between Brazilian Glover Teixeira and Nikita Krylov. This proved to be a good back and forth battle, but it was Teixeira who came away with the unanimous decision victory. Notable mention on the undercard must go to the battle between Michel Pereira and Tristan Connelly. Connelly took the fight on 6 days notice, against the highly entertaining Brazilian, but his athletic exploits took their toll, and Connelly dug in to grind out the decision win – and pocketed the whole of the fight of the night bonus, due to the fact that Pereira missed weight.
