He started his boxing journey on the 13th July 2013 when he went up against Andy Harris, he won this bout via TKO in the 1st round. Start to a great career, he continued to win up until he went up against Yvan Mendy in 2015 for the WBC international lightweight championship, where he went down to the canvas for the first time in his career via a left hook. Unfortunately, this was his first loss via split decision. However, that didn’t stop him from winning as he carried on winning until he fought Jorge Linares in 2017 where he lost via split decision again, now he has the chance to forget about the past and win his first major titles!
