Inoue v Donaire: IBF and WBA Title on the Line!

Japan’s Naoya Inoue went up against Nonito Donaire in a contest that would make one of them the undisputed champion of the world. This fight didn’t go past round 3… not even round 2!

The 29-year-old man managed to knock out the former champion to claim back one belt and manage to add another title to his legacy! Japan’s Naoya Inoue is now the WBC and WBA bantamweight world champion!

Inoue defeated Donaire on points when the fighters met in 2019 in a thrilling unification bout. That fight went the whole 12 rounds and made it as Ring Magazine’s Fight of the Year award!

The fighters have shown mutual respect for each other with one man coming out on top! What a great fight and a great addition to the world championship for one man in particular!

This fight lasted 2 rounds with the Japanese man managing to score the KO in the 2nd round of the contest making this an easy fight for him! What would that mean for him?

As he managed to score an easy KO to the former champion in the Bantamweight division, this may indicate that the newly crowd champion/retaining his championship, will go for another title in that division!
