Keith Thurman has undergone surgery on his left hand and did mention he will be back very soon. Keith Thurman has had a great career so far, only one loss in 30 fights and he is surely going to go back to the ring and win more and more fights in the future, maybe more belts as well!

“I recently had surgery on my left hand to deal with a nagging injury, I feel great and can’t wait to get back in the ring in early 2020.” Thurman said on social media. Injuries have stopped Thurman in recent years and have made him inactive from boxing and not able to fight. Once in 2016 and once again in 2017, however he didn’t end up fighting in 2018 at all due to injuries. Out of the ring for 22 months and returned to fight Josesito Lopez on the 26th January 2019!

Thurman will have a few options when he returns to the ring in 2020! He is still one of the great fighters in the welterweight division however fell short against Manny Pacquiao, he could go up against Pacquiao in a rematch to try and regain his world title back, however this may not be on the card. Back on the 25th June 2016, he went up against current world titlist Shawn Potter, beat him via points decision and could go back to fight and see if Shawn has improved, he is fighting Errol Spence Jr on the 28th September 2019 for the WBC and IBF world welterweight championships. Will Thurman win another title?
