After the 12-round thriller between Pacquiao and Broner, Manny Pacquiao issued a challenge to the retired world champion, Floyd Mayweather, to come out of retirement to fight! These two met in 2015, both fighters put there all into that bout with Mayweather winning the bout via Unanimous decision! Mayweather attended the Broner v Pacquiao fight, so he knows that he’s been called out by the 40-year-old champion! Pacquiao said “If he wants to come out of retirement, then announce it and challenge me. I’m a champion and I don’t pick any opponent, my message is I’m still active and if he goes back to the ring and wants to challenge me, I’m a champion. I’m just waiting to see who will challenge me, who will challenge my belt.” This suggest Pacquiao believes he can beat the undefeated 41-year-old man, if he decides to come out of retirement!
The 2015 bout was deemed as fight of the century! This bout would generate more money than the Mayweather v Tenshin Nasukawa fight, if he decides to come out of retirement! This could already be a contender for the fight of the year if this happens… and we are only in January!
