Dillian Whyte Beats Oscar Rivas!

Dillian Whyte went up against Oscar Rivas on the 20th July 2019, this fight determined who would become the mandatory champion and who would go up and face either Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury, depending on who wins there second fight, meaning one of these fighters had the chance to fight a champion and potentially win a world title. This would give one of these two opponents a chance of a lifetime and a chance they may never get again for another few years! Oscar Rivas was unbeaten as Whyte has only lost one bout and is considered as a great heavyweight fighter.

Round by round, Whyte was winning and looked like he was going to be going to fight Wilder or Fury next year, looking to have a chance at winning his first major title in boxing, however this wasn’t an easy fight. Rivas was a challenging opponent and wanted to show everyone that he could be a champion. Whyte was showing his boxing power before getting knocked down in the 9th round. A lot of fans believed this is the end of the fight, but Whyte got back up and started fighting once again showing that champion heart! End of the fight, we all know who the winner was by unanimous decision.

Deontay Wilder or Tyson Fury will go up against Dillian Whyte once they have a fight to determine who is the real WBC world heavyweight champion after a controversial draw that took place on the 1st December 2018! Wilder has only been up against one massive heavyweight that almost beat him in his own backyard as Whyte has had his fair share of heavyweight fighters and could beat Wilder if he beats Tyson Fury in their second fight: However, if Fury wins the bout against Wilder, Whyte will struggle due to Fury being a known as one of the best heavyweights ever. The lineal champion will always be known as the best due to him beating Klitschko in his prime in his own backyard!
