Deontay Wilder Wants to Fight Who Next?

Deontay Wilder Wants to Fight Who Next?

WBC world heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder can be considered as the best heavyweight right now, due to being unbeaten in 41 fights and nearly knocking every fighter he has ever been up against out, however there is one fighter that could end this and could cause another upset… Andy Ruiz Jr! Wilder was impressed with how he beat his rival Anthony Joshua and believes that Joshua should wait till he fights Ruiz again, however while saying that… he hinted at wanting to fight Ruiz himself. This could be a potential undisputed fight that everyone would love to see, as well as Wilder v Joshua, but a lot of fans know who would win now.

If anything falls in the Joshua v Ruiz 2 rematch, Wilder will be waiting with an offer to fight the champion and will be wanting to win all the titles before Joshua. Right now, it’s looking like Joshua will be against Ruiz in Cardiff on the 14th December 2019, so Wilder will have to find someone else to fight in the meantime, or he could fight Joshua instead of dodging him! “We’ll see what happens, but what if Ruiz Jr and Joshua don’t fight? If they don’t take the rematch, then we’ll be looking forward to Ruiz Jr jumping into a unification bout.” said Wilder to ESPN.

Wilder v Ruiz Jr could be a great fight if it happens with or without the 4 major titles, see if Ruiz can upset Wilder at the main stage like he did against Joshua on the 1st June. If the Joshua rematch doesn’t go through, Joshua will be hoping to fight opponents like Ruiz Jr so he can get use to his height and how he should fight someone his height, since he didn’t do well when fighting Ruiz last time out. Instead of using his reach and ability to fight he went up close and personal with Ruiz where he is most dangerous with his arm length and the rest is history.

Wilder v Ruiz… what would happen? For the first few rounds, Wilder will be wanting to see what Ruiz is about and hit him with a few punches here and there with a few long overhand rights, like he did to Breazeale. After he knows about his fight style, he will go for the KO regardless, since he is the knockout artist in boxing. Wilder would mainly be the favourite and would win the bout most likely, however will the upset king beat him in his own game and make Wilder go to the canvas for the first time in his career?
