The world of boxing is changing, with new fighters coming into the mix and some fighters winning due to them being a bigger size in wieght, they have had to change the way they look at boxing. Some fighters are adapting to the changes like Joshua and Usyk but others are suffering in the heavyweight division like Wilder, however this could all change very soon.
The commission has decided to introduce a new weight class that will allow certain heavyweight fighters to compete with fighters in a similar weight class to them. For example Deontay Wilder will never have to face Fury again as he was bigger in weight. This could be a great move or a terrible move depends how they manage to decide the weight classes.
If this happens, it is said that Deontay Wilder has the first chance shot at fighting for the new championship in that weight class and so would Usyk if he was to be in that division.
Some people may think it’s a terrible idea to have another weight class in boxing as right now there are so many titles in boxing that it’s hard to keep up with who is the world champion in one division and then in the next, they need to get rid of some titles so it’s easier to follow.
