De La Hoya Confident in a 3rd Bout!

Oscar De La Hoya, the founder of Golden Boy Promotions, has publicly said that Canelo vs Golovkin could be the next fight in Canelos career, sparking the third fight to happen! This could be the fight that decides to get the IBF world middleweight title that was unfairly taken from Canelo by the IBF board. This fight however won’t be on September 14th like most fans would think, so Canelo will have to miss this date for the first time in 4 years, however nothing has been confirmed and nothing has been done just yet. This could be the fight GGG could come back with!

Saul “Canelo” Alvarez last fought on the 4th May against Daniel Jacobs in Las Vegas, the fight last the whole 12 rounds with Canelo beating Jacobs by points decision, meaning Canelo became the IBF world middleweight champion, however lost his title due to him not fighting the mandatory challenger Sergey Derevtanchenko, or finding a fight in the required time. Canelo wants to fight GGG, but no deal has been put through yet and by the looks of it, the deal will be sorted very soon. Since both fighters are wanting to make an agreement and fight very soon.

Just because Canelo isn’t fighting on the 14th September, doesn’t mean the bouts are off. There will be a fight happening with the WBO junior middleweight titlist Jaime Mungia and a fight with the rising lightweight star Ryan Garcia, Garcia will be going up against Sparrow, but will it be the main event?
