The best pound for pound fighter will be going up against the current WBA, World Boxing Association, light heavyweight champion of the world in a 12 round contest. What a fight this will shape up to be! Canelo will be stepping back into the ring after defeating former challenger Caleb Plant for the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO world super middleweight championships, and he will be facing the current champion in the light heavyweight division Dmitry Bivol!

As it stands, the current best out of the two is Canelo, however the one who is unbeaten is Bivol, winning 19 out of 19 fights with 11 coming by way of KO, meaning this one fight has been in 8 fights that have gone the distance, therefore could give Canelo a run for his money.

Dmitry Bivol has been the WBA world light heavyweight champion since beating Trent Broadhurst in 2017 by a first round KO. Canelo will more than likely try to out work the current champion in the first few rounds to see what he is about and then see if he could seal the show, or Bivol could shock the world as the underdog and beat Canelo on points.

Anything is possible in the sport of boxing. Canelo may have a hard fight on his hands! Will Canelo be able to beat the Russian fighter in the ring?

To be given after the bout
