Gennday Golovkin is the only fighter that has drew with the current unified middleweight champion of the world and almost the second fighter in the middleweight and welterweight division who almost beat the Mexican fighter in his own games, however Canelo and GGG are on their way to fighting once again! For the third time, Canelo could be fighting GGG and we will see if Canelo can beat GGG for the second time, or will Gennday Golovkin beat the Mexican fighter?
These two fighters are known for being the best in the middleweight division and there have been a lot of fans around the world that couldn’t tire them apart but others believe one is better than the other, however since Canelo has beaten him, Canelo can be named the better one out the two. Fans still believe that Gennday Golovkin can beat the Mexican fighter Canelo at his age right now! GGG has clearly stated that he is wanting to fight Canelo after his controversial draw and majority decision loss that cost him the title! GGG will be hoping to get revenge on the Mexican fighter abd will want to win back what was rightfully his in the first place.
The first bout took place on the 16th September 2017, the fight was legendary for both fighter and fans across the world watched it, however the judges’ decisions were slightly off from each other. Adalaide Byrd scored the bout as 118-110 to Golovkin, Dave Moretti scored the bout as 113-115 to Canelo and Don Trella scored the bout as 114-114! GGG believed that he won that fight and should have won the fight, however a year later they had another fight!
Second bout took place on the 15th September 2018 with Dave Moretti being the judge once again. GGG had some complaints in this bout, however the decision was final, and Canelo was crowned the new undisputed middleweight champion of the world! There was a little bit of controversy with this bout, but a lot of fans believed Canelo won that fight.
Third fight will be more exciting than the first two! £50 million was made on sales from both of their fights and there is no doubt that there will be another £20 million spent on this next fight if it goes through! This fight will most likely be named as the fight of the year since a lot of fans are waiting for these two to step in the ring with each other once again!
