Former world champion Kell Brooks has decided to not hand in the gloves and wants to fight one of the best welterweight champions in the division… Terence Crawford!
Kell Brook has made it very clear on what he wants… The 33 year old boxer has intentions to fight the current WBO welterweight champion. He made this very clear with a response to a tweet that was speculating his retirement of boxing.
Former IBF champion Kell Brooks responds to the twitter was “I am not sure where these reports have surfaced but I have not retired, Me and my team have been trying to secure big fights.” Which may include another big welterweight champion, not only the WBO champion Crawford!
12th August 2018 was the last time Kell Brook had a fight; he won the bout via unanimous decisions against Michael Zerafa. He could still go back to try and gain a new title and add it to the collection. Fighting Crawford may not end well for Kell brook, however.
Crawford is one of the all-time best Welterweights in the division so far, as Kell Brook was rumoured to be retiring form boxing and not fighting again. Maybe after this fight between Kell Brook and Terence Crawford, he may retire from the sport.
Terence Crawford currently holds the WBO welterweight championship, use to be the unified lightweight champion of the world, however he moved up to the welterweight division in 2018 and fought Jeff Horn for the WBO welterweight championship. Since Jeff Horn, Terence Crawford has beaten Jose Benavidez Jr and Amir Khan! This champion has beaten some of the all-time best fighters and could be getting into a fight with Kell Brook sometime soon!
Kell Brook was the former IBF welterweight champion of the world before losing it to Errol Spence Jr via KO in the 11th round. He has only lost 2 fights in his entire career and could be nearing the end of it! 38 wins and 26 via the way of KO and hoping for an opportunity to fight Crawford or any other big-name champion in the future of boxing!
