Boxing is a great sport that allows a lot of endless possibilities and can allow a lot of people from around the world to work hard and achieve a great career from the world of boxing, however one female competitor has managed to show how good she really is and has only had a few fights and is already the unified lightweight champion of the world and still has more to achieve, even beating some of the best in her division.

Katie Taylor could be the best female pound for pound fighter in the world and could be known as the best female fighter in the world. She was born on the 2nd July 1986 in Bray, Ireland. She started her boxing career in 2016 and has had over 160 bouts in amateur boxing since the start of her career and 14 fights during her pro career! Her first fight was against Karina Kopinska and managed to win in the third round via TKO, since this win, she has been unbeaten and by the looks of it, she isn’t going to lose anytime soon.

7 fights into her career she fought for the vacant WBA world lightweight championship against Anahi Ester Sanchez in 2017, won the bout via unanimous decisions and had 7 more fights to win the rest of the major titles in her division. She currently holds the WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO world lightweight championship, however she has a fight on the 2nd November 2019 in the Manchester Arena.
