Boxing has a lot of work involved with it, the training, promoting but most importantly… the fight! If anyone, male or female, mess up on fight day… its over for them. You can either be one of the best boxers in the world or become the worst boxer! These are 3 female boxers that have made a name for themselves in recent years and will continue to be the best female boxers. This list will include active female boxers only! No inactive boxers. 3 of the best female boxers in the world! Ranges from super flyweight to Heavyweight as well. Any weight classes! So, who are currently the best female boxers in the world?

Amanda Serrano!

Amanda Serrano was born on the 10th October 1988 in Puerto Rico but currently lives in Brooklyn, New York, USA! She started her professional career in 2009 against Jackie Trivilino. Both fighters were having their debut and the fight lasted the whole 4 rounds! She didn’t end up knocking her out so, not a normal way to start her career off, however she won by Unanimous Decision! Serrano ended up fighting another 3 bouts winning all of them by TKO but, ended up drawing her 5th bout against Ela Nunez! This didn’t stop her however, as she carried on fighting and winning each bout until she went up against Frida Wallberg on the 27th February 2012! She went the whole 10 rounds but couldn’t get near her to knock her down! Amanda’s most recent bout was against Eva Voraberger on the 18th January 2019, where she knocked her out in the first round! She has currently had 38 bouts and won 36 with 27 coming by the way of KO and losing 1 and drawing 1! She could be one of, if not the, best boxer in the world.

Katie Taylor!

Katie has only been boxing for nearly 2 years and has already made a huge impact to the lightweight division! She was born in Ireland and started boxing in 2016! Fighting Karina Kopinska, Katie won the fight in the 3rd round via TKO. Taylor didn’t stop at all, she went on and won all of her fights but only winning another 4 via KO! She is the real deal. She currently owns the WBA and the IBF world female lightweight titles and is fighting Rose Volante on the 15th March 2019 for the WBO world female lightweight title! Her current record is 12 wins 0 draws and 0 loses! Conor McGregor would be very proud of this Irish woman! A World class boxer, two titles in 2 years. She will be in the hall of fame. She will be the unified world female lightweight champion if she carries on what she’s doing!

Cecilia Braekhus!

Cecilia Braekhus was born on the 28th September 1981 and started her professional boxing career in 2007. She fought against Ksenija Koprek and went the whole 4 rounds without a knockout, however she won the bout, Unanimous Decision was the reason! She went on to win every fight and win her first ever world title on the 14th March 2009 when she went up against Vinni Skovgaard! Right now, she currently owns all of the major titles in the women’s Welterweight divisions, undefeated at the age of 37 and doesn’t look like she’s going to be beaten any time soon! Her record is 35 wins but only 9 KOs with 0 draws or loses! She is by far the best welterweight women’s boxer in the world! Will she ever be beaten?
