Anthony Joshua to Step Aside?

Anthony Joshua to Step Aside?

The long awaited heavyweight contest between two of the best heavyweights has been postponed… due to one of them losing there titles, now there is another huge heavyweight bout the world wants to see… and this one doesn’t include Anthony Joshua!

Early last year, Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua exchanged words in an attempt too get Wilder and Usyk to step aside for them two to fight, however the WBC board ordered Tyson Fury to fight Deontay Wilder for the third time and Uysk didn’t want to step aside and Joshua had to fight the unbeaten former cruiserweight champion of the world.

For Tyson Fury, not much changed in the fight style of former heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. For Joshua, it was all different and unheard of! Oleksandr Usyk outboxed the British fighter, all 12 rounds, all the way through, Joshua couldn’t believe it! It was said Joshua tried to outbox the new heavyweight champion, however couldn’t due to his style and complexity!

Anthony Joshua now has to make a decision and soon it will be decision day for him and his team! He can either step aside and let Tyson Fury go up against Oleksandr Usyk for all the heavyweight championships and then have a shot at them all, or fight Usyk again and then go on to fight Tyson Fury if Tyson Fury is able to fight him at the time!

This could be the biggest decision Joshua has to make and could end with Joshua losing a chance at being a 3 time heavyweight champion. Usyk vs Fury could be on the cards, but when would Joshua get a chance at fighting for the titles again?

Knowing the boxing contracts, there will more than likely be two fights between the fighters, so they have another chance at winning the titles that they lost previously, this could take up to a year. Joshua however would have to wait for two fights to be over, with no complications and with no Covid-19 issues! Will Joshua do it? For more news about Anthony Joshua… Click here!
