On June 1st, Joshua will be going up against the American fighter Jarrell Miller for all of his titles, however there is a lot of speculation of who Joshua could be facing next! Not even finished his fight and fans are already looking into where he could go next! Anthony Joshua is one of two fighters that holds the major titles in the division and many fighters will want a chance of beating Joshua and either claiming or reclaiming the four major titles! There’s still two months until the Joshua v Miller fight and if Joshua does win this bout, he has one of three options that he could go to. Eddie Hearn will be very busy trying to get Joshua a fight with one of these three fighters!
Oleksandr Usyk!
Oleksandr Usyk is currently the Cruiserweight champion of the world that has moved up into the Heavyweight division and has a fight against Carlos Takam coming up. He has said that he wants to fight Joshua and see if he can get back what he never lost in the Cruiserweight division. He is a world class fighter that has been at the top level since he started his career, only winning 16 fights and holding all the major titles in the Cruiserweight division! He should be able to beat the likes of Carlos Takam and Povetkin if he wants to stand a chance against the one of the best heavyweights in the division!
Tyson Fury!
Tyson Fury is an obvious one! He was the one that called Joshua out after the fight against Deontay Wilder! Tyson believes that he is the best heavyweight in the division and he could take down Anthony Joshua with ease. He did pretty much beat Deontay Wilder on points, however the judges didn’t seem to think so! Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua would stop the debate on who is the best English Heavyweight and stop the debate on who is the best heavyweight! It’ll most likely be one of the best paid pay-per-view event in boxing history! They did try and get negotiations going however, this went downhill due to the WBC ordering Wilder and Fury to fight… even that went downhill!
Deontay Wilder!
Deontay Wilder is the only fighter we all want to see Joshua fight! Joshua is wanting to combine the belts and Wilder is the obvious choice. WBC heavyweight champion v IBF, WBO, WBA and IBO Champion, every belt on the line! This is a fight the whole world wants to see. Wilder is at the top of the list of best heavyweights but went down the list after the Fury fight didn’t go to plan! I think everyone and he knows that he should have lost that bout! Wilder could out Joshua through his paces however. Wilder v Joshua could be the biggest fight this year if they can get the deal done and dusted!
