The current best pound for pound fighter went up against young and rising boxing star Bivol, the Russian fighter was unbeaten in his division and had no intentions of losing any fights. Even with the possibility of a stoppage due to the war going on, the fight went on. Canelo was the favourite with Bivol the underdog!
Unfortunately for Canelo, he was outboxed, everything was blocked and Bivol did all the scoring. Bivol managed to beat the Mexican fighter making his second loss a reality!

This was a massive challenge for Canelo, meaning he didn’t have to go up into that division to fight but he did and now he will be looking for another challenge as he stated in a recent interview, he loves challenges in boxing. As the best fighter in the world, this shows he’s up to fight anyone.
Bivol on the other hand, will now he known as the second best fighter as of that fight as he beat the Mexican fighter so convincingly. Even Eddie Hearn believes that Bivol won the fight very convincingly.
