$16 Million to Keep Boxing in Olympics!

Boxing has always been in the Olympics, its help boxers become professional and earn a living from it, since there will be boxing promoters watching the event. Boxers like Anthony Joshua and Deontay Wilder risen to fame from boxing in the Olympics, however there is speculation about it going. Tokyo Olympics 2020 may not have Boxing as a sport, however there could be a twist in the tale. A Russian has offered the International Boxing Association $16 million to keep the sport in the Olympics! This offer could put Boxing back into the Olympics. Boxing is a huge sport that attracts a lot of attention so, with that said, they should put boxing back into the Olympics, with or without the offer! Brings in so many boxing talents that could end up being world champions one day.

One boxer who has risen to fame is Viddal Riley. He was in the 2014 Olympic games and has now started to box! He has been in 2 professional fights. One against Julio Manuel Gonzales and one against Mitchell Spangler! Both Knocked out in the first round. He could go on to be the next Cruiserweight champion of the world.

The offer was made in a letter and sent to the IBA. Umar Kremlev made this offer and hopes that boxing remains in the Olympics! “I am ready to close all the debts of AIBA in full, so long as our favourite sport remains in the Olympic program,” Kremlev wrote! Umar is the secretary of the Russian boxing federation and has been since 2017, so this could go through! A final report about this should be delivered on the 22nd May to decide if boxing is staying or going! What should happen? In my opinion, Boxing should stay in the Olympics because not only does it bring in more fighters that could have talent, it gives fighters a chance to fight in the Olympics and fight for their country! So, this offer should go through!
