Yemen Ceasefire Seems to be Holding

Finally some good news in the disastrous civil war in the Yemen. It looks like the UN-brokered ceasefire is holding and Hudaydah is reportedly calm. This is of massive importance as this should allow desperately needed aid to get through, so averting mass famine. Currently, about two-thirds of Yemen’s population is largely reliant on food imports and the fear was that an all-out battle for the port may have caused near irreversible damage to it. The cease-fire is not countrywide but hopefully, this first step plus the growing angst being shown by the US will lead to a more permanent solution. More here
