Strep A: Family Traumatised by Daughters Death!

The parents of a girl are traumatised due to the death that took place cause of the new viral infection known as Strep A. 

Seven-year-old Hanna Roap, from Penarth, died from invasive Group A Streptococcal Disease, also known as iGAS or Strep A.

Her father Hasan described her as a “bubbly” daughter, who was “always smiling” and added: “We’re just numb, we don’t know what to do.” he stated to the BBC!

Across the UK, there has been a reported 6 deaths due to this bacterial infection in recent months.

Mr Roap, 37, said his family is “traumatised” and “devastated”.

He said his daughter came home from school on Thursday, 24 November with a mild cough.

By the evening, her cough had got worse.
