The Cabinet Office minister himself said Boris Johnson “has not been on a ventilator” but has received “oxygen support, in two separate interviews recently.

Mr Gove said Mr Johnson was being kept “under close supervision” and added: “By being in intensive care if there is further support he needs it is there at hand.

“But the prime minister has not been on a ventilator.”

It is also believed he has remained conscious and aware the whole time he’s been at hospital, which is more good news. Mr Gove emphasised the importance of lockdown on the public upon reflection of the PMs stay in hospital, saying “nobody likes the lockdown”, but also mentioning how it is critical we adhere to the rules and regulations set out.
