The PM has said that there is “zero prospect” of travel going in and out of London being stopped.

There was speculation that travel in and out of London would be fully stopped.

There has been online speculation that London will be going into a full “lockdown”.

Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s official spokesman said: “There are no plans to close down the transport network in London and there is zero prospect of any restrictions being placed on travelling in and out of London.”

He also mentioned that only one person being allowed in and out of a household is simply not true.

Videos online have been circulating of the military, but it has been said that Police will continue to keep order; that is not the purpose of military deployment here.

“The prime minister and his advisers have set out the need for social distancing measures to limit the spread of the virus to protect lives,” the spokesman said.

“What we are focused on is ensuring that as many people as possible take that advice and don’t unnecessarily put themselves in the position where they could be spreading coronavirus.”
