The new owner of a £200k+ super car totalled it after owning it for around 20 minutes… yikes.
The car is believed to have stopped near the M1 motorway in Yorkshire, due to a mechanical fault on the car. Then, unfortunately, a van driver collided with the back of the car accidentally, damaging the car and the cars new owner – but the head injuries aren’t believed to be serious.
PC Richard Whiteley, from West Yorkshire Police, tweeted pictures of the damaged sports car with the caption: “It’s only a car ! But on this occasion a 20 minute old brand new Lamborghini that stopped due mechanical failure in lane 3 them hit from behind by an innocent motorist.”
Those who saw the tweet were extremely shocked, and replied with things like: “I wouldn’t be too happy that a £200k car suffered mechanical failure after 20 minutes.”
Another person tweeted: “Drove past this not long after it happened, hope the driver of this car and the unfortunate van that hit it are OK.”
Then, someone else pointed out: “Mechanical failure? Owner could have been killed. Hope everyone involved is OK – cars can be replaced, we can’t.”
The crash not only ruined the two drivers days, but also caused a 3 mile long queue on the road, affecting other drivers days too.
The crash definitely could have gone a lot worse, so it’s lucky that both drivers are relatively un-injured.
Lets just hope both drivers were insured properly, so no one has to lose a significant amount of money due to the incident.

It could have ended worse for both drivers – but luckily it didn’t!
