President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan is continuing to apply pressure regarding the murder of Jamal Khashoggi demanding that Saudi Arabia extradite the suspects, however, the rest of the world with the notable exception of Canada seem content to look away and hope it all blows over. Of course, given that Canada runs a big trade deficit with Saudi Arabia we guess they have less to lose.

Speaking after the G20 Summit in Argentina the Turkish president stated that Crown Prince Mohammed had given world leaders at the G20 summit an “unbelievable explanation” of the situation, arguing that Saudi Arabia could not be blamed unless the crime was proven; but of course they are not willing to help with the investigation – the international version of taking the 5th Amendment. Fortunately, they have a huge ally in President Trump who is even willing to discredit the CIA in order to keep trade flowing.
