If you are lucky enough to have a coffee machine, you know what coffee grounds are.

Coffee grounds are found in most households.

Coffee grounds, are seen as some by a burden, but these circular lumps of wet grounds have more uses than you might realise!

Check below for some cool ways you can repurpose your coffee grounds, instead of just throwing them out!

Fertilisation.

Coffee coffee grounds contain lots of minerals And elements like nitrogen, calcium, potassium, iron, phosphorus, magnesium and chromium, which are all good for soil, and promote plant growth.

Compost.

Coffee grounds can be added to compost. One study conducted showed that compost that contained coffee grounds produced less greenhouse gases when finally used and was better quality fertiliser compared to compost without it.

Bug repellent.

Bugs and pests hate coffee grounds, so sprinkling some around your property will help keep them away.

Get rid of bad smells.

Coffee grounds contain a lot of nitrogen, which can help neutralise smells in the air, especially ones caused by sulfur dioxide. You could set a bowl of coffee grounds out, or put one in the fridge, to get rid of the smells in the air, especially ones caused by things like spoiled food.

Exfoliation

You can scrub your face and clean your pores with the help of coffee grounds! If you mix coffee grounds with a little bit of water or coconut oil and scrub them with your hands directly onto your face and body, you can get some pretty good results!
