The man who’s abuse started the #metoo movement has been found guilty of rape and sexual assault in this landmark case.
He has been cleared of other charges, as he came to court today described as looking “frail.”
It all started in 2017 when women who previously worked with the Director spoke out about the abuse they endured.
Soon after, dozens more women came forward to allege incidents of rape, sexual assault and harassment by Weinstein dating back decades.
He admitted his behaviour had “caused a lot of pain”, but always denied the allegations made against him.
He is also accused of rape and sexual battery of two women in hotel rooms back in 2013, one night after another.
