Greece’s dalliance with Left-Wing Politics has ended following the re-election of the New Democracy Party at the recent snap General Election. The Grek people voted for radical change back in 2015 electing Syriza – an acronym that stands for “Coalition of the Radical Left” on the basis of their proposed end to austerity and possibly even Grexit. However, fast forward four years and things were worse with high unemployment still an issue and yet another EU bailout. Far from ending austerity the terms of this latest bailout also proved disastrous for the economy plunging it into the worst peacetime recession in memory.

It looks like being an interesting year politically for the country.
