A man by the name of William Moldt was reported missing on the 7th November 1997 from Lantana, Florida. He failed to make it home from a night out at the age of 40 and hasn’t been found since the day he went missing. A missing person case started after the strange disappearance of William; however, the case went cold and no evidence was found for so long. Fast forward 22 years, police were called to the scene of a sunken car found in a pond in Moon Bay Circle, Wellington. No one expected to see this in this pond, however, if its visible on Google Maps… how have no one spotted this when walking past?

The vehicle was pulled out of the water and skeletal remains were found inside the car. They started to investigate the remains to see if they can find out who it is and identify how long it’s been stuck in that pond, however a week later, they found out that the remains were William Moldt. The sunken car was found after someone was doing a google search on the location, police have said.

The man that contacted the police reported this after looking on Google Maps and finding something strange in his nearby pond, curious to know what it is he decided to use his drone to find out if this is still in the pond or been taken out already, once he found out that the car was still visible in the pond, he contacted the police and they came as soon as possible to check out the situation. It is presumed that William Moldt lost control of his vehicle and drove straight into the pond.
