Local lockdowns were made to help the virus to stop spreading to other places in the UK and to contain the spread into one area of the UK, it was a great idea and could have had a massive impact on the fight against coronavirus. Coronavirus has been on the minds of everyone since the beginning of the year and the beginning of the first official lockdown in the UK, but the real question is… does local lockdown work the way they intended it to?

This aspect was to help those in certain areas of the UK to not contact coronavirus and to stop the spread from reaching any other place but with the infection rate constantly going up… its hard to say if they will continue this.

The local lockdown has worked and did work, to begin with, however, once Boris Johnson allowed more places to open and more activities to start, the more infections started.

Right now, it is safe to say local lockdown was not the best option and should not have been implemented as no one is seeming to follow the rules and it is hard to know if somewhere in the UK is in local lockdown without looking at the news, and some people may not look at this.

Boris Johnson has a massive decision to make as the cases have reached a new peak in its cycle. Reaching above 15,000 cases and soon to be more if the UK is not careful and do not stay safe from the virus. Right now, it is a 6-month plan of stopping certain activities and stopping pubs and clubs being open past 10 pm.

Will this stop the virus?
