To everyone’s delight, McDonald’s is re-opening stores across Cumbria today.

McDonald’s re opened a few stores close to the headquarters a couple of weeks ago, to trial their new system of work, seeing if they could re open safely. And it seems they can, because in the first few days of June it seems most McDonald’s stores that have drive-thru options are reopening. People in areas such as Cumbria, where Five Minutes Spare is based, were getting worried that counties up north including Cumbria were being forgotten about by the chain. This, however is not the case.

McDonald’s assured the rest of the country they hadn’t been forgotten about, and I guess they stuck to their word. As of today, in Cumbria, these stores have reopened:

WORKINGTON DERWENT DRIVE DERWENT DRIVE CA14 3YW
CARLISLE – KINGSTOWN RETAIL PARK GREARSHILL ROAD CA3 0ET
BARROW IN FURNESS HOLLYWOOD RETAIL PARK LA14 2NA
WHITEHAVEN – BRIDGES RETAIL PARK THE BRIDGE RETAIL PARK CA28 7RW
PENRITH CASTLE PENRITH RAILWAY STATION CA11 7JQ

The hours are reduced, however. It’s not clear if they’ll be serving breakfast, and the menu is reduced. They urge customers to spend less than £25 via contactless payment, and the opening hours are 11am-10pm.
