There have been talks of certificates being given to people who’ve already had coronavirus, Downing Street has suggested.

Home COVID-19 tests will hopefully be administered to citizens soon.

This would be to better identify those who may now be immune from the virus.

The PM’s spokesman said: “This is something which has been discussed in other countries.

“We have always said that we are watching closely what other countries are doing and we will always look to learn from ideas which could be helpful.”

Kuwait now requires people flying into the country from certain parts of the world to produce certificates proving that they are Coronavirus free.

Home testing is soon going to be available according to some professionals in the UK, with one healthcare professional saying:

“In other words, members of the public will be able to take a blood test and send it back in the post and get that analysed.”

“That is an antibody test that tells you if you have had the condition.

“That is absolutely critical for two reasons: to understand what is going on but also to allow people to return to work.

“That is well advanced but not ready yet. We need to be absolutely sure it is a valid test.

“We expect that to come within a couple of weeks but I wouldn’t want to over promise on that, and I think the chief medical officer has been absolutely clear on it being right before it is put out.”
