Kendrick was fatally wounded after lunging at one of the gunmen, a selfless act which bought precious time for his classmates to escape. Thanks to his efforts and those of another of his classmates Brendan Bialy, no one else died.
Our thoughts are with Kendrick’s family at this time, and now it is time for America to have a hard look at its gun laws as this is becoming an all too frequent event.
