A man has been arrested after a woman died in what police said was a disturbance at a house located in North London.
Police said they found a woman at a property in Waverley Avenue, Chingford, late on Wednesday, with head injuries.
They were called there at around 11:30 pm on Wednesday after reports of a disturbance. The woman, who was in her 60s died at the scene. The man at the scene, who is in his 20s, is believed to have known the victim prior to the disturbance.
The disturbance was at Waverley Avenue, Chingford.
The woman who unfortunately died’s next of kin has been notified, as the police believed to know her identity.
A post-mortem examination is expected to be held in the coming days.
Witnesses are being asked to contact police with information.
