Two pilots who were part of the support team for the recent 12,000km kit plane flight from South Africa to Egypt have tragically died. Des Werner and Werner Froneman flew a support plane as far as Tabora airport, however, on Saturday when leaving for the return journey they reported engine failure soon after taking off.
A sad epitaph to a great achievement.
