So far this year has been awful, the start of 2020 was all about world war 3… then into coronavirus, which is stopping everyone from seeing there loved ones and seeing any one of there friends and killing those who are loved and those who are helping in the fight against Covid-19. The fight against Covid-19 is slowly getting better and better, but everything is about to change with Boris Johnson’s news. Covid-19 has stopped many businesses from paying there staff and getting anymore money for them to pay and or improve the business. After this roles out, we could be seeing a decrease in infections and a decrease in deaths.
Boris Johnson has said that he wants to reach 200,000 tests a day for coronavirus by the end of May. The government announced a new target to hit, the target was 100,000 test a day, however now Boris has changed that to 200,000 tests a day due to the virus being so deadly and could infect into more people if we don’t understand how many people do really have this virus. Boris Johnson has said that this target is ambitions but he is willing to try and get this target set and maybe go even higher.
“On Monday, there were just 84,000 tests and that meant 24,000 available tests were not used. What does the prime minister think was so special about April 30 that meant that testing that day was so high?” Said Sir Keir Starmer.
