It’s been reported that Formula 1 boss Bernie Ecclestone has became a dad again, at the age of 89.

Father again at 89.

44 year old Fabiana Flosi, his wife, gave birth to his 4th child a few days ago, in what was said to be a speedy labour, taking around 25 minutes.

The couple confirmed the news, with Bernie saying: “We have a son named Ace. I am so proud.”

His wife Flosi, added: “It was all so easy. The birth was over after 25 minutes. I thank God.”

Ecclestone turns 90 in October and is already dad to daughter Deborah, 65, Tamara, 36 and Petra, 31.

Bernie may also been in for a shock, as wife Flosi isn’t too keen on the idea of their new boy taking an interest in Formula 1. Speaking to a German media outlast last month, Bernie said: “Like all parents we have only one wish: the child must be born healthy.”
Whilst his wife then quickly added: “Hopefully he will never express any interest in doing something in Formula 1!”
Bernie did announce that the baby would be born in the summer time a few months ago, so a lot of people did know they were due a child. During the statement, they were also in quarantine due to Coronavirus, ahead of the babies birth, and he added: “I just want everything to be good with Fabiana even if the isolation goes on longer. Fortunately, the farm never runs out of work. Fabiana also looks after her own coffee plantation.”
As good as the family probably feel right now, he has been subject to a bit of backlash recently, over his comments about the Black Lives Matter movement. In a CNN interview he made comments that black people are often “more racist than white people,” which upset a lot of people, including F1 driver Lewis Hamilton.
When asked about why he has this opinion, Bernie said: “Things over the years that I’ve noticed, and there’s no need for it. I’m against injustice for anyone, whatever colour they are. It’s important to do something about that for a start.”
Lewis Hamilton, however, wasn’t very happy with the comments, and took to Instagram to say the following: “Damn, I just don’t even know where to start with this one. So sad and disappointing to read these comments.
“Bernie is out of the sport and a different generation but this is exactly what is wrong – ignorant and uneducated comments which show us how far we as a society need to go before real equality can happen.
“It makes complete sense to me now that nothing was said or done to make our sport more diverse or to address the racial abuse I received throughout my career.”
