Archie Battersbee has been through an awful lot, due to him being in a coma since April due to the young boy taking part in an online challenge which resulted in his brain death.
Archies mam has fought the courts and the doctors on multiple occasions about keeping her son on life support which is keeping him alive but remaining in a coma.
Doctors and the Courts have agreed that this is very undignified for Archie and there putting his best interests in place rather than an emotional attempt like the mother.
The family’s appeal against the doctors’ decision to remove Archies life support was refused by the Supreme Court on Tuesday the 2nd.
Hollie Dance said her son’s treatment would end unless an application was made to the European Court of Human Rights by 09:00 BST on Wednesday.
Unfortunately for the mam, her son’s life support will be removed today, Wednesday the 3rd of August 2022, at 11 am if the application to the ECHR is in time.
This would be unfair on Archie due to him not regaining consciousness since April.
