Amy Louise Gerard, 28, originally from Cleethorpes, was last seen outside Irish bar, Molly Malone’s in Puerto de la Cruz in the early hours of Friday.

Amy has lived and worked in Puerto de la Cruz since May 2016, she currently works at Tenerife’s Loro Parque marine theme park.

Her sister Chloe Gerard said the family are “working closely with police, who are doing everything they can to find Amy”.

She started a social media appeal on Saturday to find her sister and it is been retweeted by many to help get the word out that she is missing.

In a tweet she wrote: “Thank you all for sharing. We don’t have any new information.

“We’re working closely with the local police who are doing everything they can to find Amy.

“We appreciate all the exposure on Amy’s disappearance and continue to urge anyone to come forward if you think you saw her.”

She was celebrating a birthday with her friends the night she went missing, her family say. Amy left the Irish bar around 12:20AM as she left the bar, she became separated with her boyfriend. It is extremely out of character for Amy to not contact family or friends.

Amy is 177cm (5ft 8ins) tall and of slim build with long, curly, dark blonde hair and blue eyes. She was last seen wearing black skinny jeans, Ugg boots, dark green long-sleeved top, with white bow on the back and a red, shiny bomber jacket.

CCTV footage has been released showing her last known movements, she is seen singing and dancing with her German boyfriend before mysteriously disappearing.

Police and the coastguard searched the shoreline amid fears she may have fallen into the sea and drowned.

The owner of the Irish bar said: “She came in with six work colleagues around 11pm on Thursday night, when we have live music.

“They were having a good time singing and dancing, but I wouldn’t say they were drunk.

“She was with her fella, a German lad called Dennis.

“The group all left in twos, and she and Dennis were the last to leave.

“She turned off to the right and Dennis went to the left.”

Amy’s mum, Julie, posted on facebook today saying: “We would like to thank friends and family for their continued support whilst the search for Amy continues. Please all keep sharing. We are all heartbroken and finding it hard to come to terms with the fact she’s missing. We desperately urge anyone with any information to come forward.
