One of the most popular fast food restaurants is making a return soon to some place, however they will only be doing deliveries during this pandemic. The popular burger chain known as McDonalds will be reopening certain stores and start slowly working there way up, first doing delivery’s then see what else they can do. McDonalds will reopen 15 outlets in the UK and Ireland. “We are working hard to reopen more restaurants… Slowly, but safely we will return.” said Paul Pomroy, Head of McDonalds. With this in mind, there will only be the normal menu, so there will no longer be breakfast menus until the pandemic is over.
“When we return it will be different as we all adjust to this new normal. I want to apologise in advance if our first wave of reopened restaurants does not serve your area. Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants, but I am adamant this must be at the right pace with the wellbeing of our employees, suppliers and customers front of mind,” he Continued to say. Currently, if the average user is wanting to buy something from them, they will continue to use Uber Eats and or Just Eat for the delivery.
The head of McDonalds has said that they will try and reopen more as the pandemic starts to slow down, like other fast food restaurants, they are following the guidelines and seeing if it is dangerous to reopen a certain store and trying to get all the safety information in before reopening any store. This pandemic has made everything harder for everyone, but once the vaccine is made, everything will be back to normal.
