
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for wind, covering the UK’s west coast, Northern Ireland, parts of Wales and Scotland.
They have warned people of power cuts, strong winds, and train delays. In regards to transport specifically, trains in and out of Preston were delayed earlier after the station roof was damaged, and flights between Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly are suspended.

The Scottish Environmental Protection Agency has issued over 20 flood warnings across Scotland, saying that: “combined with naturally high tides next week, the sustained winds will create an unusual and dangerous combination of tide, storm surge and inshore waves,” said Sepa.
All schools on the western isles of the UK have been closed, and many ferry’s, and buses have been disrupted due to the wind and rain.
Between 65 and 70mph winds around western have been forecasted in coastal areas, with a gust of 87.5mph beeing recorded at 2pm today on South Uist.
There could be storm force gusts of up to 90mph in north-west Scotland, forecasters say.
