Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey to team up for mental health TV series

Kensington Palace has announced the Duke of Sussex is teaming up with Oprah Winfrey for a Apple TV+ documentary series on mental health.

Prince Harry said he hoped it would show examples of “human spirit fighting back from the darkest places”. He added that he was “incredibly proud to be working alongside Oprah on this vital series, which we have been developing together for several months”.

Kensington Palace said the series would build on Harry’s long-standing work on mental health. Harry has promoted mental health issues since revealing the “quite serious effect” of his mother’s death has had on his life.

We are excited to announce that The Duke of Sussex and Oprah Winfrey are partners, co-creators and executive producers on their forthcoming mental health series launching on Apple in 2020. The pair have been developing the series for several months and are looking forward to sharing such an important project on this global platform. Together with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Harry launched Heads Together and has worked with veterans around the world with the Invictus Games foundation and the Endeavour Fund as well as UK military charities to ensure the best mental health services possible for armed service personnel.

Apple TV+ will launch this autumn.
