A pair of friends in the UK were delighted when McDonald’s announced they were re opening some of their stores.

So much so, that they travelled over 250 miles and 7 hours to get some of the fast food.

The 23 year olds, Ryan Hall and Paisley Hamilton, spent almost £30 on fuel and headed south. By the time they got back there, their stomachs were full and they’d travelled a whopping 250 miles. It was a round trip, so it was roughly 125 miles there and 125 miles back.

As mentioned in a previous article, almost all the stores that have re opened to date are near the headquarters or in a rather close proximity to it. This is just in the test phase and they assure all customers that the rest of the country hasn’t been forgotten about. One they finally got there, other must have had a similar, but probably less extreme idea, as they had to wait half an hour for their food. They then went on to spend £20 on a large McNugget meal, large Big Mac meal, two Cokes, two double cheeseburgers, a regular cheeseburger, a McChicken sandwich and a Filet-O-Fish.

They then devoured their feast in the classic McDonald’s dining area; the car park, after spending £47 to get there, back, and pay for the food.

The driver, Ryan, revealed to the sun that: “We didn’t really think it through. Our 15-minute meal ended up taking us nearly seven hours.

“It was definitely a ‘F*** it’ moment which actually ended up costing me a lot of money. But I’d do it all again. It was so worth it.”
