The Wolverhampton Wanderers – Manchester City game has become an interesting fixture in recent times, as its one of those ones where you can never tell which way its gonna go…

Traore after scoring against City.

The last time these two teams met, Wolves beat the former champs 3-2 at The Emirates. The time before that, they won 2-0, with Adama Traore scoring 2 goals in the final minutes of the game. Can history repeat itself? That is a good question… and the answer is: possibly.

City have some catching up to do. They haven’t yet played a Premier League game, whilst Wolves already have 1 win to their name. They’re also away, meaning Wolves have the home advantage. Now, heres where it gets interesting – Manchester City may not have a very strong lineup (or at least not as strong as manchester city lineups go). Laporte and Mahrez recently tested positive for coronavirus, so its believed they won’t start in this game due to them only recently returning to training. The goal machine Aguero picked up an injury recently, which will see him miss a few future games. And, even more recently, just a few hours ago City midfielder Gundogan tested positive for Coronavirus, meaning he will definitely be missing tonight game. If these aren’t some big blows to the City squad, I don’t know what are.

Despite this, KDB, Jesus, and Sterling are all believed to be fully fit, which means we could see City goals yet.

On the other side of the pitch, Wolves are missing Jota, who made a surprise move to champions Liverpool last week, and Jonny, who is injured. Adama and Jimenez, City fans worst nightmares in this fixture, are fit and are believed to be starting in this match.

Its not an easy match to call, but I’m going out on a limb and saying Wolves will win 2-1. If not a win, a 2-2 draw, as I can see the two teams being evenly matched, but Wolves will definitely benefit tonight from a weakened City squad.
