The starting pitchers for tonights win or go home AL Wild Card game between the Tampa Bay Rays v Oakland Athletics have been confirmed. Get your viewing seat ready as it’s going to be an epic clash, as both have thrown in their number one pitchers, for the obvious reason – you might as well leave it all on the mound.
The reason why Manaea gets the nod for Oakland is succinctly shown below – a September 1.21 ERA is awesome for someone coming back from injury. The worry for me (as an A’s fan) is his lack of experience only 39 career starts and four this season. The good news Mike Fiers is up second, hopefully, he won’t be called into action too early.

Tampa have opted for Charlie Morton most likely because of his recent record against the A’s:

This has the hallmarks of a classic pitching duel and extra innings is a strong possibility. May the best team win (but preferably Oakland).
