Right-hander Chris Bassitt delivered six strong innings in a spot start and Jed Lowrie stayed tough on the Tigers with an RBI double as the A’s secured a series win. Josh Phegley and Dustin Fowler tacked on with RBI doubles in the ninth as Oakland won the first three in this four-game set. Right-hander Mike Fiers went seven strong innings, while JaCoby Jones and Leonys Martin made stellar catches for Detroit, which has lost eight in a row.
