Jed Lowrie’s fourth hit of the night gave the A’s the lead on a night where they came back from six runs down to claim a victory over the Tigers at Comerica Park on Tuesday. The Tigers hit A’s starter Frankie Montas for six runs over the first three innings, but Oakland capitalized on a crucial error by John Hicks which extended an eventual three-run inning. The A’s then pulled within one on back-to-back homers from Chad Pinder and Lowrie before getting over the top in the ninth.
