Liverpool have went into the Champions League contest with a loss to Napoli in the worst way possible. Seemed like they gave up and seemed like they were no match for any team after losing Sadio Mane, however Ajax were the next team Liverpool went up against and they have managed to beat them in the Champions League 2-1!
Liverpool have had a terrible start to the season, including the Premier League season. Winning only 2 out of 6 games and losing to Manchester United who were in terrible form the past few weeks.
There was no doubt that some people thought that Liverpool wouldn’t beat Ajax due to the form of their players, however Liverpool went into the Champions League match and beat Ajax.
Mohammad Salah managing to score the first goal in 17 minutes, however this was then changed in 10 minutes when Ajax scored. Within the last few minutes… Joel Matip steps up and wins the game for Liverpool in the closing moments!
A great performance by Liverpool during this game however, not the best they have done in recent years.
Could this be the turning point for Liverpool?
