Topshop has launched a vegan shoe collection

Topshop are taking some stylish steps towards vegan friendly with their first vegan shoe collection.

The new range features six silhouettes such as retro square toe sandals, Birkenstock-style slides, and block-heeled snakeskin mules, that all come in two different colourways.

The collection is handmade in spain and it has non-animal materials and non-fish glue. This makes them 100% vegan-friendly and they are approved by the PETA.

Topshop also announced that the new footwear comes in packaging free from animals products so every piece is vegan-friendly.

Topshop’s fashion director, Maddy Evans, said: “We are really excited to be launching our first vegan collection this April,”

She added: “Initially we’re focusing on footwear and introducing six new styles that are produced alongside our premium shoe lines in Spain.

“We can’t wait to see how shoppers respond to the design-led collection and how far we can push vegan products across our accessories offering.”

Topshop have also confirmed this is just the beginning and they will be adventuring into cruelty-free accessories.

The vegan shoe collection is available now and prices start from £42.
