The ultimate weekend self-care that will set you up for the long week ahead

The Monday to Friday life can get you feeling exhausted and lacking a bit of TLC. Many cannot wait for the weekend to come to be in the comfort of bed and take advantage of the lie in time.

In two whole days you need to wipe your slate clean by recharging and reboot so you are ready for the working week ahead. Here are some things you should do this weekend to fully relax.

Get that sleep!

Make sure you fully rest and set no alarm so you catch up on that beauty sleep even try going to bed early. Remember that your body restores and rejuvenates when you sleep to grow muscle and repair tissues – any excuse for some zzz’s.

Pamper yourself!

There is no need to go out just stay in your pyjamas. Do a facemask, do a in depth skin care routine and treat yourself to some of your favourite foods. Do not make plans just do what you want to, stay in and watch movies if that is what you love and need. On the other hand treat yourself to a new hair, manicure pedicure day or have a massage.

Take a long luxury bath!

Take a soak in some bath salts or a bath bomb, light a candle and even pour a glass of wine (if you are over the age of 18)! Take your time and let your mind relax.

Make your favourite meal!

With the working days it can be hard to find the energy to cook your favourite meal.  The weekend is the perfect time to get a few calm hours of you time so use it to cook your favourite meal.

Take a break from your phone!

This may sound like a hard one to do but try it even if it is for one day or a couple of hours. Disconnecting from technology will let you give yourself a break from reality and make you not have to feel all the pressure from social media. Taking the break will help your mind and mental health – it even may make you feel less drained…

Catch up on your favourite shows or watch your favourite movies!

Working days can mean missing TV shows and movies therefore, take the weekend to catch up on the entertainment world. Grab some snacks and a blanket to relax your mind and enjoy the shows.

REMEMBER it is okay to stay in your pyjamas, bed or sit on the sofa all day! Self-care is the most important thing to remember and do!
