America Crocodile

The American Crocodile can live in fresh and salt water, it is the only Latin American croc that is able to do this. It’s grows over five meters long and weighing in around 500 kilograms. 

This croc has piercing sharp teeth teeth and stalks if prey like a snipe would it’s target. It is also known for the strongest bite in earth. It a true stealth hunter with a slender snout it sneaks up on it prey without it noticing. It stays completely submerged before striking at speeds up to 16 kilometres an hour. 

The term Crocodile tears comes from a myth that crocodiles cry when eating humans. 

It is responsible for 120 recorded attacks and 16 deaths since 2012.

A fully grown adult croc can generate 3,000 to 3,500 bite force. It can snap it’s jaw shut in 50 milliseconds. 

A scientist believe a 30 year protection program is to blame, for these crocs being complacent around humans as people would feed them so the fear of them is not there.
